Nikki Sim is a freelance graphic designer based in Birmingham, UK. She studied visual communication at Birmingham City University, where she worked as part of in-house creative teams and on a freelance basis. 

What highlighted her work to me was her regular collaboration with other creatives. This is something that I do also, especially as part of a arts university in a creative community. This is something I wanted to question her about, as I was inquisitive about how she works with others, after leaving the creative community of the university. 

I regularly work alongside other talented creatives allowing me to offer additional services. These include photography, illustration, product design and animation. The ability to offer these services as a package results in a complete final product for your brand.

To be able to get in contact with her I decided to message her on Instagram, although on her website there are options for a phone number and email address. I chose Instagram as I already follow her creative account, which we have an exchange of acknowledgements on before, so it seemed as if it would be more personal. 

Unfortunately, she did not reply in time for the deadline, but as she is from Birmingham, where I am originally from. I would like to work with her as I feel we also have similar styles, so hope to keep contacting her in the coming months. I also wanted to further explore my type skills which she is comfortable with, and it would be good to work with her and learn whilst doing a project, contributing ideas.
