Wayfinding - Presentation

The presentation was mainly completed by Charlotte, but on google slides as it meant we could all contribute towards to presentation and add elements of our work to the presentation in real time.

Included information:
  • Concept
  • Rationale
  • Technology
  • App Design
  • Mockups
The presentation was as minimal as possible to ensure that we werent giving too much information to the audience and bombarding them with text, rather we explained each slide through speech. Therefore this engages the audience in a more interactive way.

Throughout the presentation, we discussed with the audience the issues that may arise if the system was put into place.

What if the user did not have a mobile device: People without a mobile device would be given a device solely used for the interface at reception when entering the building. This is how the system works in other places, identified earlier such as the casa baltó.
What if the user did not have a QR scanner: To eliminate this we added a simple link which would bring up the interface in any browser, android or ios.
What if the user was blind or partially sighted: A sound element of the system would be added as the directions on the screen are presented they would also be read out.
All of these stages would be possible as there is an unlimited budget.

I believe the presentation went well and we all tried to speak evenly over the whole of the information being given, we also took an equal responsibility of answering the questions, as these were not pre-empt it showed how well each of us knew and believed in the concept as we were all able to answer.
