Overall this module has helped me learn a lot, in particular
a lot about myself as well as designing. I've learnt how to correctly present
myself to get across the ideas I want to in a clear and concise way,
presentations that need to be or words they can solely be images I can still
get across the point I wanted to the audience. Terms of audience I've also
learn how to design to suit an audience in terms of both my personal branding,
and studio brief one, both of which had a particular audience in which I needed
to present my ideas in a way that was clear get conceptual. This module has
helped me improve a lot in terms of getting out there within the Leeds creative
community. I have visited galleries and exhibitions and even other countries in
order to extend my design knowledge. Although, time management was a massive
part of this module having other modules running alongside of it, I don't think
I dealt with it within the best way; in terms of dedicating my time towards
personal development and going out and seeing things, and staying in doing work
this is something I want to work on. Within level 5 I want to develop my own
personal brand more, I think as I progress this will be a massive part of my
design career so far; and is needed to be taken seriously by clients within the
design world so I can start doing my own more personal projects. I want to also
visit more places and different environments to understand how change of environment
affects design and how audience affects the way in which you design. Within PPP
I found the talks which were telling you how to get out there how to improve
and how to present properly inspiring and motivating, as these wall areas that
I was struggling with beforehand. In light of that reflection these are also
areas I am now confident in and want to pursue more. To do so over this summer
I will be looking for internships within design as well as considering a personal
project which I can take place alongside my studies next year to help with my
personal visual development. I believe the designs are created within studio
brief one, two and three were successful, in terms of giving myself a visual
voice and style, which is incredibly likely to change; yet it has given me the steps
towards knowing how to start branding myself as a designer and considering my
footprint on the design world.

Pay Off and Description
In this session we discussed initial ideas of personal
branding, within this we came up with an idea of types of names that we could
adapt to our personal branding. We also began to consider a tagline based on
both our personality and our work. I began thinking about my name and how I
want my brand to represent my personality and myself, I started with simple
names that played on the initials of my full name. I then began to think about
what makes me different, in terms of what I want my brand to represent the
ideas I've already received from what people think of me during the identity
workshops. I began to think about my glasses and its use, this is when I began
to think prescribed graphics, my eyes since I've come to union side designing
all of the time have been getting worse and my prescriptions have been upped,
although I believe my design has been getting better and I've been developing
as a creative. The way in which I prescribe my glasses to help, I thought about
prescribed graphics as a name, prescribing my clients clean Cut modern
graphics. I also then began to think about dependent design, as obviously
without my glasses I can't design therefore I am dependent on them; I would
like to think that my clients are dependent on me for good design.
Though I believe these names have an interesting and unusual
factor to them, I don't think that they represent my own name which is
something that I am passionate about representing within my brand. Therefore,
these are ideas I will continue on with them reflect upon as I continue my
self-branding exploration.
In order to create an interesting payoff, I looked at what
represents myself as a designer, I'm interested in simplistic modern design,
which doesn't particularly follow trends but looks ahead of them. I am an
organised and meticulous person, and believe this comes across in my design.
For the case of creating my description and payoff I've decides to go with
dependent creative as a name, again based around the idea of my glasses
something that will come across within my branding visuals. Taking this into
consideration I've decided to go with the idea of prescribing my client clean
cut modern design, because without being modern and moving forward but would
design be.
Name: Dependant Creative
Payoff: You want design, and everyone needs it.
Description: prescribing you modern, simplistic creative
solutions; looking ahead.
This is the payoff and description that are decided on
within the session, although I believe that it will change with my development
of my own personal branding, because I'm don't really particularly sure how I
want to be as a designer yet nor how my visual voice.
