Creative Convo's Collaboration

I collaborated on an extended practice project with Emma Blackman, another graphic design student on the same course in the same year as me. The brief was to design the branding and collateral designed to represent the creative conversations event this year. Alec asked us to consider an alternative name due to the fact that he did not think creative convos were representative of the event itself as we agreed.

Overall working with Emma was successful and a great experience, we were able to put both skill sets together to be able to come up with the most professional and polished outcome is possible to meet the brief. Where's my practice is more focused around idea generation, Emma is amazing at being able to produce a large number of ideas and development towards refining an idea down to the very last detail. This element of the production is something that I can struggle with sometimes when bringing my ideas together and therefore working with Emma really helped me develop in my own practice. Due to similar design styles, we were happy to be able to collaborate both festivals into an outcome that was representative of both of our practices, focusing round clean and modern design. We work successfully to a timetable and all of the deadlines were met in the order required. We delegated tasks and this allowed us to be able to free up time to make sure that the product was produced the highest possible standard. I believe the collaboration went well and Emma is somebody I would love to work within the future on external products outside of university level.
