I decided to use Europa for my logo mark which can be seen
as previously discussed within my last branding typeface blog post. The
typeface you reproduce with bold when necessary, and regular within the
capacity of body type in any application of my branding. As can be seen in
figure 1.

I also chose to use the typeface ‘lust regular’ as an
accident type to be used to contrast against the simple and sleek style of the
worker. This more decorative type offers more decorative highlight and
reference to traditional typography through the use of large contrasting
serifs, manipulated in a modern way through the high contrast between thin
connecting elements. I believe this contrast of modern and traditional both in
the typeface itself and compared to the Europa type is an accurate
representation of the use of contrast between modern and traditional style in
order to get the distinctive design style I've established through the
exploration of my briefs. I enjoy using a mix of traditional typefaces and
design techniques in contrast with modern design techniques to create something
unique and very fitting for each brief. Within the recess ages of each my brace
I also take into consideration a fast amount of research into the origins of
the brief itself and the way in which it can be developed, which highly
influences my design decisions. Research into the traditional methodologies of
my briefs I believe is also represented within the traditional influences of
this typeface contrasted with the modern elements in the way that I contrast my
references with modern sleek design style. This typeface can be seen below in
figure 2. This typeface is used within titles and headings across the
application of my branding.
Both of these typefaces have been accessed through Adobe
type kit, and therefore I am licensed using a commercial way.
