Due to the fact that one of my main goals for this year within the visioning task was to be able to leave university with a junior designer role in play I decided to take a little bit of time out of each day over the last few months to be able to research and find your prose I felt would be fitting for my practice, in order to develop as a designer and begin my career. Please see below a selection of the jobs which I applied to. This was not done sporadically and also done across a large amount of time. Only jobs which I thought could benefit my creative career I applied to. I took largely into consideration the fact that I wanted to be in a commercial environment particularly within an environment based around the retail industry.

BBC Trainee Scheme:

I decided to apply to this job role due to the nature of the job it is a 12-month contract which comprises of three-month placements, this allows you to go around different areas of the BBC refine the area of design you want to go into people who have done the scheme have then gone on to jobs within large companies such as Google and Spotify. I thought this was too good of an opportunity to miss up and therefore applied to the process. I have recently received confirmation of being entered into the second stage of the refinement process for application.

ITV Application:

This application was for a junior creative role within the daytime team for ITV.

TM Lewin:

TM Lewin is a suit retailer with stores all over the UK, the application was for a junior designer within the head office, I was interested in this role due to the fact that it was a junior commercial design within the retail sphere.

Google:

I applied for a role within the Google design office for an internship over summer, in Zurich. Unfortunately, this application was declined.

The White Company:

The white company is a high-end homewares and fashion retailer with stores across the UK and the US. I was interested in this role due to the fact that it was a commercial position within the creative team in a retail environment.

Universal Records:

This is an internship role which I decided to apply to in order to gain extra experience within the music industry design world. It is something I've experimented before within extended practice, and therefore was interested in possibly pursuing further investigation into.

Arcadia Fashion:

I was extremely interested in this role due to the fact that it was a junior position in a commercial environment designing for the largest retail fashion provider in the UK.

McCann Health:

This role was for junior designer within McCann health, as part of McCann world group, the largest communication/advertising company globally, is extremely interested in the idea of working possibly with the health industry. Being someone with a long-term illness this was something that was close to my heart and therefore applied to the position.

REISS Menswear:

REISS high-end UK menswear retailer, therefore in fitting with the desires of Wareham want to go in my career I decided to apply for this junior designer position.

Harvey Nichols:

Harvey Nichols is the largest designer department store specialising in high-end fashion and accessories in the UK, therefore is extremely excited to apply to a junior designer position with themselves.
