CV rewrite

Before beginning to apply to jobs, which was one of the main goals I want it achieved by the end of the year, in terms of having a job lined up ready for leaving university, I decided to rewrite and redesign my CV in order to be fitting with the professional sphere wanted to enter into and my branding.

As can be seen below my old CV contained small amounts of information, highlights of colour which were relevant, and snippets of work. I decided to move away from this and present a more professional sleek and word based. This was due to the fact that I wanted to be applying to large companies all of which required a portfolio as well as a CV and therefore did not need any images work on the CV itself.
Through having a word-based CV I was also able to successfully talk about my experience in a way that does it justice, and allows for me to specify my skill set and any relevant experience.
As a lot of the roles I was planning on applying to existed within the retail environment I decided to leave on a small amount of information about the achievements that I have had within that industry as well. This was due to reading through job descriptions in which company specified that an understanding of the retail side of the design process would be a massive bonus. Therefore, by leaving this information and it allowed me to stand out from other people who may only have design experience.

The design of the CV itself was simplistic and modern, ensuring a sleek and concise design allowed for the information to be presented clearly and not require the person assumed the CV who may be viewing hundreds that day to be searching for information.
Due to further my branding is my name the logo could be used at the top of the header. Titles were aligned to the left of the page, in the whitespace that had no distractions even within the header above, therefore allowing through attention to be drawn to them in an undistracted and uninterrupted manner. Therefore, allowing for further clarity.

I also decided that the design needed to be simple and concise due to the fact that all of the job roles I applied to were in a commercial design basis, therefore it needed a professional design rather than a creative colour packed image-based design.
